Food Grade Poly 1 1/2" Female Camlock x 1 1/2" Male NPT (USA)

Built to government specifications A-A-59326 and MIL-C-27487. Food grade polypropylene cam and groove couplings are made from a glass filled composite. Fittings are 40% glass filled.

Type "B" polypropylene 1 1/2 inch female camlock (Cam & Groove) coupler to 1 1/2 inch male NPT threads. Under no circumstances should cam and groove couplings be used for compressed air or steam service!

Connections

• The female side of this adapter will only connect to 1 1/2 inch male camlock
• The male threaded side of this adapter will only connect to a 1 1/2 inch female National Pipe Tapered (NPT) or National Pipe Straight Hose (NPSH) thread, for example, PVC or metal pipe fitting

How it works

• To make a connection, simply slide the camlock adapter into the camlock coupling and with normal hand pressure, press the cam levers down.
• Uncoupling is as quick and simple as coupling. Just lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.

Cam and groove couplings, also called camlock fittings or quick connect fittings, are used in most industries as a hose connection to avoid leakage. The cam lock type of coupling is popular because it is considered to be a simple and economical way to reconnect and disconnect.

NPT - National Pipe Tapered is common in plumbing and some industrial uses. Sometimes referred to as pipe thread because PVC pipe and schedule 40 pipe are typically threaded in NPT. As its name implies this is a tapered thread so that the outside diameter of the male (ODM) gets smaller towards the end of the fitting and the inside diameter of the female narrows with depth. As the two fittings are threaded together the opposite tapers force thread friction and makes the seal without the use of a gasket.

• The female side of a NPSH coupling will only connect to a male NPT pipe or a male NPSH connection
• The male side of a NPSH coupling will only connect to a female NPSH connection. It will NOT thread into a female NPT pipe, for example, a male NPSH coupling will NOT thread into a female metal or pvc pipe

Limited 1-Year Camlock Warranty - We will replace any camlock fitting with manufacturer defects in material and workmanship. All warranty claims must be returned to us for inspection before we determine a solution.

Our warranty does not cover gaskets, multiple use of NPT threads, shipping cost, cosmetic damages, normal wear-and-tear, improper use or chemical damage.
